Moxi

After our beautiful Roxy died, Luke’s dog Ranger became depressed. I couldn’t handle seeing him looking mournful all day. Dad didn’t want more poop…but eventually he agreed we could search for a smaller dog for Elise. An ad for golden doodles showed up. Turns out they were in PictureButte! Micah went to check them out and chose the friendly, non-jumpy female pup for his little sister. Moxi arrived by truck at the Lickman Rd Coop, and Elise promptly fell in love. Moxi changed Ranger’s life back to fun and delighted Dad by catching a mole and killing a rat. She gets out of the yard at will, but doesn’t run away. She brings joy.

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

Deciding that Truth and Reconciliation were really not our issue, we went to PG to enjoy a long weekend with Jared’s family. Even Caleb came along! The men went to work tackling the winter wood supple while we ladies ran the home front. I did get to try the log splitter, but Luke, with his broken arm, was very busy with that job when he wasn’t driving the tractor. By the end of the day, the logs were beautifully stacked. Caleb had this responsibility and did a great job.

Little things

Campground map- very helpful  Dad and I snuck off for one walk together in the week. It was fun! And beautiful.  Family photo❤️ The whole group! It was wonderful to camp together.  Val doing paddleboard headstands. Impressive! The kayaks were well used.  The Nature House always had interesting things for Elise, plus some neat programs. Most of us went to one on bears.  Joshua is so loved! Uncle Luke absolutely loves being an uncle.
