Goodbye, Date Day and Back to School

This was the heartbreaking end of summer. We had to say goodbye to Stacy and Braedan after having them here all summer. Elise threw up from crying. 😢 It is very hard. 

Thankfully school started up and was a great distraction for the kids. Luke started Grade 8 with Mr. Rekers and Elise entered Grade 3 with Miss Lanting. 


Meanwhile Dad and I had an adventure up East Harrison to find the hot spring up there. It was a long drive! But we enjoyed our day very much.

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

Deciding that Truth and Reconciliation were really not our issue, we went to PG to enjoy a long weekend with Jared’s family. Even Caleb came along! The men went to work tackling the winter wood supple while we ladies ran the home front. I did get to try the log splitter, but Luke, with his broken arm, was very busy with that job when he wasn’t driving the tractor. By the end of the day, the logs were beautifully stacked. Caleb had this responsibility and did a great job.

Little things

Campground map- very helpful  Dad and I snuck off for one walk together in the week. It was fun! And beautiful.  Family photo❤️ The whole group! It was wonderful to camp together.  Val doing paddleboard headstands. Impressive! The kayaks were well used.  The Nature House always had interesting things for Elise, plus some neat programs. Most of us went to one on bears.  Joshua is so loved! Uncle Luke absolutely loves being an uncle.
