Our Campground



Our campground was wonderful. At its peak, we had Opa and Oma’s motorhome, (which barely made it on time after a breakdown near Salmon Arm where they sent Stacy, Braedan and Valerie off in Opa’s car leaving them to deal with repairs) Feenstras’ motorhome for Jared, Tonisha, and Hazel, Micah and Stephanie’s motorhome for Stacy and Braedan, a tent where Nathan joined us for a night, a tent for Caleb and Luke, and our trailer for Valerie, Elise and us. Jill slept in the basement of the house. 

It was harvest time, so seeing these huge machines was common- and very interesting.

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

Deciding that Truth and Reconciliation were really not our issue, we went to PG to enjoy a long weekend with Jared’s family. Even Caleb came along! The men went to work tackling the winter wood supple while we ladies ran the home front. I did get to try the log splitter, but Luke, with his broken arm, was very busy with that job when he wasn’t driving the tractor. By the end of the day, the logs were beautifully stacked. Caleb had this responsibility and did a great job.

Little things

Campground map- very helpful  Dad and I snuck off for one walk together in the week. It was fun! And beautiful.  Family photo❤️ The whole group! It was wonderful to camp together.  Val doing paddleboard headstands. Impressive! The kayaks were well used.  The Nature House always had interesting things for Elise, plus some neat programs. Most of us went to one on bears.  Joshua is so loved! Uncle Luke absolutely loves being an uncle.
