Visiting Kelowna

A weekend getaway to keep Stacy company while Braedan went fishing was a wonderful plan for the Mother’s Day weekend. Even Caleb came with us as we went Friday after school/work till Sunday evening, 
We biked Myra Canyon. Elise was afraid to bike the trestle bridges, so Dad and I stayed with her while Caleb, Luke and Stacy did some serious biking. It was gorgeous! Stacy did get injured when a lady stepped in her path and she fell off her bike on a bridge. 
Caleb, Luke and I biked down the steep road back to the main road… 8 km of steep down. Exhilarating! Luke was happy to stay behind me and stay in control while Caleb took off. 






Yummy skewers for dinner- made by Dad and kids, but not by me. 😊

A special Mother’s Day treat: I got to hear Stacy accompany the singing in church. I’ve waited years for this moment!

Deciding that Truth and Reconciliation were really not our issue, we went to PG to enjoy a long weekend with Jared’s family. Even Caleb came along! The men went to work tackling the winter wood supple while we ladies ran the home front. I did get to try the log splitter, but Luke, with his broken arm, was very busy with that job when he wasn’t driving the tractor. By the end of the day, the logs were beautifully stacked. Caleb had this responsibility and did a great job.

Little things

Campground map- very helpful  Dad and I snuck off for one walk together in the week. It was fun! And beautiful.  Family photo❤️ The whole group! It was wonderful to camp together.  Val doing paddleboard headstands. Impressive! The kayaks were well used.  The Nature House always had interesting things for Elise, plus some neat programs. Most of us went to one on bears.  Joshua is so loved! Uncle Luke absolutely loves being an uncle.
