Visiting Feenstras

Micah and Stephanie had an Alberta engagement party while we were in town for Joshua’s baptism. Stephanie’s grandparents loved meeting Opa and Oma, and we all had a fantastic evening. 


Luke and Dad love the cab-over and we’re excited to take it for a drive. 
Elise had her toenails dove by Brittany. 
We went for a walk/explore of the sprawling hills around the Feenstra property. This land is owned by the grandfather. 
Dad. Luke, Jacob. Sadly, Luke had stomach ache and couldn’t really enjoy this trip as much as he wanted. He spent a lot of time lying down.

A teepee circle- historical evidence of Natives living here. There are several on the property, which the Feenstra family does not allow to be disturbed. 



On Sunday, we had dinner at the cabin belonging to Stephanie’s Uncle Lyle. It’s on an irrigation lake- what a great getaway!

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

Deciding that Truth and Reconciliation were really not our issue, we went to PG to enjoy a long weekend with Jared’s family. Even Caleb came along! The men went to work tackling the winter wood supple while we ladies ran the home front. I did get to try the log splitter, but Luke, with his broken arm, was very busy with that job when he wasn’t driving the tractor. By the end of the day, the logs were beautifully stacked. Caleb had this responsibility and did a great job.

Little things

Campground map- very helpful  Dad and I snuck off for one walk together in the week. It was fun! And beautiful.  Family photo❤️ The whole group! It was wonderful to camp together.  Val doing paddleboard headstands. Impressive! The kayaks were well used.  The Nature House always had interesting things for Elise, plus some neat programs. Most of us went to one on bears.  Joshua is so loved! Uncle Luke absolutely loves being an uncle.
