Shuswap Lake Provincial Park

We camped with Opa and Oma, Luke and Elise, for 8 days. It’s a beautiful park! Lots of lanes and paths for biking, including a perimeter trail. Elise learned to bike really well, even standing up over speed bumps and using only one hand. Luke biked all day long with anyone who would go along or even alone. He loved using Dad’s new bike, too. Opa used my bike every day and wished he and Oma had theirs. 
There were 9 young URC and other church families camping for four days, so Elise got to play with Brooklyn and Abi a lot! 
We had rain and cool temperatures the first few days, then it was quite hot- so much so that one night Dad and the kids went for a swim at 10:20 pm to cool down! Crazy! But it was fun…

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

Deciding that Truth and Reconciliation were really not our issue, we went to PG to enjoy a long weekend with Jared’s family. Even Caleb came along! The men went to work tackling the winter wood supple while we ladies ran the home front. I did get to try the log splitter, but Luke, with his broken arm, was very busy with that job when he wasn’t driving the tractor. By the end of the day, the logs were beautifully stacked. Caleb had this responsibility and did a great job.

Campground map- very helpful  Dad and I snuck off for one walk together in the week. It was fun! And beautiful.  Family photo❤️ The whole group! It was wonderful to camp together.  Val doing paddleboard headstands. Impressive! The kayaks were well used.  The Nature House always had interesting things for Elise, plus some neat programs. Most of us went to one on bears.  Joshua is so loved! Uncle Luke absolutely loves being an uncle.
