Grade 7 Bike Trip




 Both Dad and I were able to accompany Luke’s class to bike the Rotary Trail. Dad used Caleb’s bike. Luke rode his old green Giant and was one of the front runners. Emmet had a brand new Norco Storm- so Luke was a bit jealous and was happy to discover he was able to ride Caleb’s bike. We ended up being turned back to return the same way we came along the north side because of a bus fire on the south side. That was a disappointment, but the snack was great and biking is fun. It was a beautiful day for it! Now Dad wants a new bike for his birthday.

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

Deciding that Truth and Reconciliation were really not our issue, we went to PG to enjoy a long weekend with Jared’s family. Even Caleb came along! The men went to work tackling the winter wood supple while we ladies ran the home front. I did get to try the log splitter, but Luke, with his broken arm, was very busy with that job when he wasn’t driving the tractor. By the end of the day, the logs were beautifully stacked. Caleb had this responsibility and did a great job.

Little things

Campground map- very helpful  Dad and I snuck off for one walk together in the week. It was fun! And beautiful.  Family photo❤️ The whole group! It was wonderful to camp together.  Val doing paddleboard headstands. Impressive! The kayaks were well used.  The Nature House always had interesting things for Elise, plus some neat programs. Most of us went to one on bears.  Joshua is so loved! Uncle Luke absolutely loves being an uncle.
