Dinner Club- with Kids!

We have loved our dinner club socials, and we decided to host one including the kids. Peter and Evelyn Driegen were out of town, but Voorhorsts, Vanderstoeps and our family still made a good size group. It was Haley’s birthday, so she brought her friend Lydia. To balance that, we borrowed Emmet. Elise borrowed Lacey, and loved every moment. 
The kids used the pool for hours. We hiked the stairs. Luke and his classmates did too. He took the kids quadding.
Good times!

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

Deciding that Truth and Reconciliation were really not our issue, we went to PG to enjoy a long weekend with Jared’s family. Even Caleb came along! The men went to work tackling the winter wood supple while we ladies ran the home front. I did get to try the log splitter, but Luke, with his broken arm, was very busy with that job when he wasn’t driving the tractor. By the end of the day, the logs were beautifully stacked. Caleb had this responsibility and did a great job.

Little things

Campground map- very helpful  Dad and I snuck off for one walk together in the week. It was fun! And beautiful.  Family photo❤️ The whole group! It was wonderful to camp together.  Val doing paddleboard headstands. Impressive! The kayaks were well used.  The Nature House always had interesting things for Elise, plus some neat programs. Most of us went to one on bears.  Joshua is so loved! Uncle Luke absolutely loves being an uncle.
