Dinner at Harrison and Dad goes to Salmon Arm



After camping at Cultus, I came home coughing and feverish. Somehow I found out Kim and her kids were also sick, so we began daily texting to check in on each other.  Kim invited us to have dinner in Harrison after Spirts Day. Dad was in Salmon Arm for chicken meetings, but Caleb and Cameron were able to join us. Joop and Grace joined us, too. In the end, Opa Joop bought dairy free ice cream for Luke and Elise, and once Kim and Maurits left, we went to their place for a short visit. 



 

Meanwhile, Dad had his meeting in Salmon Arm and decided to surprise Braedan and Stacy by having breakfast with them. Big success! All three of them were very happy with this plan.

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

Deciding that Truth and Reconciliation were really not our issue, we went to PG to enjoy a long weekend with Jared’s family. Even Caleb came along! The men went to work tackling the winter wood supple while we ladies ran the home front. I did get to try the log splitter, but Luke, with his broken arm, was very busy with that job when he wasn’t driving the tractor. By the end of the day, the logs were beautifully stacked. Caleb had this responsibility and did a great job.

Little things

Campground map- very helpful  Dad and I snuck off for one walk together in the week. It was fun! And beautiful.  Family photo❤️ The whole group! It was wonderful to camp together.  Val doing paddleboard headstands. Impressive! The kayaks were well used.  The Nature House always had interesting things for Elise, plus some neat programs. Most of us went to one on bears.  Joshua is so loved! Uncle Luke absolutely loves being an uncle.
