Cousin Christina’s Birthday AND Graduation


The border to the USA is finally open!!! COVID restrictions kept us out for years. 😢. We were thrilled to attend Christina’s 18th birthday with Caleb, Luke and Elise. Caleb was the only teen boy until Rueben showed up- and he did just fine with all the female attention. Elise was joyfully attached to Annemarie, and also warmly hugged by Joanna and Christina. Luke was a bit lost. Too many girls. 





Only five days after her birthday, Christina graduated. We left super early, got stuck in traffic, (a bus needed a new tire🥴) had to go through Aldergrove crossing as Sumas was very backed up and arrived late. Thankfully we did still hear both her and her mother give speeches.

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

Deciding that Truth and Reconciliation were really not our issue, we went to PG to enjoy a long weekend with Jared’s family. Even Caleb came along! The men went to work tackling the winter wood supple while we ladies ran the home front. I did get to try the log splitter, but Luke, with his broken arm, was very busy with that job when he wasn’t driving the tractor. By the end of the day, the logs were beautifully stacked. Caleb had this responsibility and did a great job.

Little things

Campground map- very helpful  Dad and I snuck off for one walk together in the week. It was fun! And beautiful.  Family photo❤️ The whole group! It was wonderful to camp together.  Val doing paddleboard headstands. Impressive! The kayaks were well used.  The Nature House always had interesting things for Elise, plus some neat programs. Most of us went to one on bears.  Joshua is so loved! Uncle Luke absolutely loves being an uncle.
