Camping at Cultus

Way back in February, I had a brilliant plan to book camping at Delta Grove over the May long weekend. I convinced Aunts Diana and Christina to join us. We each booked double sites on the water! 

I invited Bijkerks to join us, but in the end they cancelled because they had Dutch company. Opa and Oma, Stacy and Braedan, and their friends Travis and Miriam, camped there instead. 

Luke got to finally sail Braedan’s boat and even caught a fish. The weather was great. Cousin time was fun, and  Luke got to ride an electric bike. 

We got chicks in the middle of this week, so Dad had to do a lot of back and forth. Caleb was gone- helping to host Maylong.

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

Deciding that Truth and Reconciliation were really not our issue, we went to PG to enjoy a long weekend with Jared’s family. Even Caleb came along! The men went to work tackling the winter wood supple while we ladies ran the home front. I did get to try the log splitter, but Luke, with his broken arm, was very busy with that job when he wasn’t driving the tractor. By the end of the day, the logs were beautifully stacked. Caleb had this responsibility and did a great job.

Little things

Campground map- very helpful  Dad and I snuck off for one walk together in the week. It was fun! And beautiful.  Family photo❤️ The whole group! It was wonderful to camp together.  Val doing paddleboard headstands. Impressive! The kayaks were well used.  The Nature House always had interesting things for Elise, plus some neat programs. Most of us went to one on bears.  Joshua is so loved! Uncle Luke absolutely loves being an uncle.
