Baby Joshua Dennis

 Earlier than we expected, Nathan called us with the joyful news that he and NJ had a son. It took another day for the name to be revealed- but it was a wonderful name, well worth waiting for. Joshua Dennis brought us joy before we even met him. We left for Alberta, planning a quick weekend trip. We towed our trailer and parked at Feenstras’. Of course we visited Nathan asap… priorities 😊.  Opa and Oma were on a road trip, planning to visit Nathan and Micah then head to Kelowna, but with Joshua’s early arrival, they arranged to stay for the baptism.  NJ’s mom was in town to help out. Jill came to church to witness the baptism, and so did the Feenstra family. I was delighted to hold my sweet grandson during the church service. He was wonderfully well behaved. What a blessing this little man is!

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

Deciding that Truth and Reconciliation were really not our issue, we went to PG to enjoy a long weekend with Jared’s family. Even Caleb came along! The men went to work tackling the winter wood supple while we ladies ran the home front. I did get to try the log splitter, but Luke, with his broken arm, was very busy with that job when he wasn’t driving the tractor. By the end of the day, the logs were beautifully stacked. Caleb had this responsibility and did a great job.

Little things

Campground map- very helpful  Dad and I snuck off for one walk together in the week. It was fun! And beautiful.  Family photo❤️ The whole group! It was wonderful to camp together.  Val doing paddleboard headstands. Impressive! The kayaks were well used.  The Nature House always had interesting things for Elise, plus some neat programs. Most of us went to one on bears.  Joshua is so loved! Uncle Luke absolutely loves being an uncle.
