Back at Jared’s








While we were gone for week, Jared and Tonisha bought a  place set with a slide for their deck. Elise barely fit, but had fun playing with Hazel on it. Hazel was absolutely thrilled to have us back, with a definite preference for being carried around by “Uncle Kuke” who was very proud to oblige her. 
We went out for dinner to Montana’s. Elise had her first pork ribs ever (it was on the kids menu!) and just loved them. It was such a good evening for all of us. The kids and Hazel sure enjoyed nearly two weeks of regular visits and didn’t want to say goodbye. But Spring Break was ending and normal life needed to begin again. Sigh. Our month of holidays was over.

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

Deciding that Truth and Reconciliation were really not our issue, we went to PG to enjoy a long weekend with Jared’s family. Even Caleb came along! The men went to work tackling the winter wood supple while we ladies ran the home front. I did get to try the log splitter, but Luke, with his broken arm, was very busy with that job when he wasn’t driving the tractor. By the end of the day, the logs were beautifully stacked. Caleb had this responsibility and did a great job.

Little things

Campground map- very helpful  Dad and I snuck off for one walk together in the week. It was fun! And beautiful.  Family photo❤️ The whole group! It was wonderful to camp together.  Val doing paddleboard headstands. Impressive! The kayaks were well used.  The Nature House always had interesting things for Elise, plus some neat programs. Most of us went to one on bears.  Joshua is so loved! Uncle Luke absolutely loves being an uncle.
