A Day with Tonisha

Jared had to work some of the days we were visiting. Luke got to try out his coyote tractor which made him very happy. 


Tonisha took us for a walk on a local park trail. It was absolutely great to be outside. 

Jared showed us around his new job site at Babine Truck. 

Luke and Elise hauled firewood and started a fire for us. Well, for me. I’m always the cold one. 

We even went to church to watch Tonisha run a music practice. The kids helped with babysitting and even got to know some of the kids around their age, like the Schoutens and Voorhorsts. Even Rev Tim Schouten was there. I told him Luke was pretty great kid except when he teased his little sister. Rev Schouten replied that teasing is the job of big brothers. Wow. 
Anyhow, they were great at helping that day, even putting Hazel’s shoes back on.

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

Deciding that Truth and Reconciliation were really not our issue, we went to PG to enjoy a long weekend with Jared’s family. Even Caleb came along! The men went to work tackling the winter wood supple while we ladies ran the home front. I did get to try the log splitter, but Luke, with his broken arm, was very busy with that job when he wasn’t driving the tractor. By the end of the day, the logs were beautifully stacked. Caleb had this responsibility and did a great job.

Little things

Campground map- very helpful  Dad and I snuck off for one walk together in the week. It was fun! And beautiful.  Family photo❤️ The whole group! It was wonderful to camp together.  Val doing paddleboard headstands. Impressive! The kayaks were well used.  The Nature House always had interesting things for Elise, plus some neat programs. Most of us went to one on bears.  Joshua is so loved! Uncle Luke absolutely loves being an uncle.
