The Fun Begins

It was finally time for Nathan and NJ and Valerie to fly in for Christmas. Excitement was high on the big day. Valerie was coming to Abbotsford Airport on a Thursday afternoon, (Dec 22) with N and NJ landing there around 7pm. 
All three flights were postponed.Valerie’s was scheduled for Tuesday, Dec 27. This was awful- she’s miss Christmas and only be here a few days. So she and dad searched and searched and finally were able to fly her in to Vancouver around midnight, still on the 22nd. 
N and NJ’s flight was changed to land at 3:00am in Abbotsford on the 23rd. 
I offered to go along on the drive to get them all, but apparently no one wanted a grumpy mom. I was not allowed to go. Dad and Stacy went, getting all three of them and coming home around 5:00am. They made it!

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

Deciding that Truth and Reconciliation were really not our issue, we went to PG to enjoy a long weekend with Jared’s family. Even Caleb came along! The men went to work tackling the winter wood supple while we ladies ran the home front. I did get to try the log splitter, but Luke, with his broken arm, was very busy with that job when he wasn’t driving the tractor. By the end of the day, the logs were beautifully stacked. Caleb had this responsibility and did a great job.

Little things

Campground map- very helpful  Dad and I snuck off for one walk together in the week. It was fun! And beautiful.  Family photo❤️ The whole group! It was wonderful to camp together.  Val doing paddleboard headstands. Impressive! The kayaks were well used.  The Nature House always had interesting things for Elise, plus some neat programs. Most of us went to one on bears.  Joshua is so loved! Uncle Luke absolutely loves being an uncle.
