An Evening in Agassiz


There is a fake ice rink in Agassiz. We thought it would be fun to try. It was fun- but not exactly good for skating. The slipperiness was uneven from sheet to sheet, so it was fairly hazardous. Elise loved it as the skating was slower and less slippery than real ice. The skates needed sharpening after only a few minutes. 
We then went to Oom Joop and Tante Grace for a snack and drink. Luke got his first beer- de-alcoholized, of course.

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

Deciding that Truth and Reconciliation were really not our issue, we went to PG to enjoy a long weekend with Jared’s family. Even Caleb came along! The men went to work tackling the winter wood supple while we ladies ran the home front. I did get to try the log splitter, but Luke, with his broken arm, was very busy with that job when he wasn’t driving the tractor. By the end of the day, the logs were beautifully stacked. Caleb had this responsibility and did a great job.

Little things

Campground map- very helpful  Dad and I snuck off for one walk together in the week. It was fun! And beautiful.  Family photo❤️ The whole group! It was wonderful to camp together.  Val doing paddleboard headstands. Impressive! The kayaks were well used.  The Nature House always had interesting things for Elise, plus some neat programs. Most of us went to one on bears.  Joshua is so loved! Uncle Luke absolutely loves being an uncle.
