Thanksgiving 2022

















These photos did not end up in any sort of proper order, but they still show a good picture if our wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. Only Valerie was unable to join us, due to home renovation commitments. Jared was able to come as his boss needed a trailer pulled from Surrey to PG at just the right time. Micah drove with Stephanie, Stephanie’s grandma and Jill. He may not have been allowed to drive in BC, but nothing bad happened. Braedan and Stacy, Nathan and NJ also drove here for the weekend. So many beds to make! Stephanie and Jill had to share- great way to become friends!  

Nathan and NJ shared joyful news with us that DV they would become parents in April. 
Highlights included a walk to Cheam Wetlands, hockey, a big extended family dinner, sharing my birthday drink from Stacy with her, playing with Hazel, and lots of good chats. 

The only casualty of the weekend was my big toe mail which I destroyed while playing hockey. It’s black now.

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

Deciding that Truth and Reconciliation were really not our issue, we went to PG to enjoy a long weekend with Jared’s family. Even Caleb came along! The men went to work tackling the winter wood supple while we ladies ran the home front. I did get to try the log splitter, but Luke, with his broken arm, was very busy with that job when he wasn’t driving the tractor. By the end of the day, the logs were beautifully stacked. Caleb had this responsibility and did a great job.

Little things

Campground map- very helpful  Dad and I snuck off for one walk together in the week. It was fun! And beautiful.  Family photo❤️ The whole group! It was wonderful to camp together.  Val doing paddleboard headstands. Impressive! The kayaks were well used.  The Nature House always had interesting things for Elise, plus some neat programs. Most of us went to one on bears.  Joshua is so loved! Uncle Luke absolutely loves being an uncle.
