Caleb’s Birthday

 Caleb turned 18, and while we only had a few guests, it was a fun evening. His main gift this year was some cash towards cowboy boots. Elise gave him a new Book of Praise, leather bound. She told us that his old book was damaged and that since Caleb likes nice things and is very careful, she thought he should have a nicer book. She was right- he was very pleased. Luke gave him travel coffee cups. He liked those too, as he had received an identical one from Oma for his Profession of Faith which he accidentally left behind at a job site in Whistler. 

Opa and Oma planned to go to Edmonton that weekend, but then postponed it a week to be here for Caleb. Grandma and Auntie Dar also came for dinner.

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

Deciding that Truth and Reconciliation were really not our issue, we went to PG to enjoy a long weekend with Jared’s family. Even Caleb came along! The men went to work tackling the winter wood supple while we ladies ran the home front. I did get to try the log splitter, but Luke, with his broken arm, was very busy with that job when he wasn’t driving the tractor. By the end of the day, the logs were beautifully stacked. Caleb had this responsibility and did a great job.

Little things

Campground map- very helpful  Dad and I snuck off for one walk together in the week. It was fun! And beautiful.  Family photo❤️ The whole group! It was wonderful to camp together.  Val doing paddleboard headstands. Impressive! The kayaks were well used.  The Nature House always had interesting things for Elise, plus some neat programs. Most of us went to one on bears.  Joshua is so loved! Uncle Luke absolutely loves being an uncle.
