A Sunday in Kelowna

Our Sunday in Kelowna was pretty special. We attended the URC, where we met the pastor who organizes the Summit conferences in Alberta, Elise made friends with John and Candace’s daughter, and we were served a potluck lunch between services, 
After church, we went to the local stream to look for salmon, but we were a bit too late for the big run. It was a beautiful park to visit anyhow. 
My thoughtful Stacy had birthday presents for me- ❤️ a picnic table cloth and some blackberry cooler plus a handmade card. Definitely appreciated! 
From there we had to head home again so the kids could be in bed on time for school the next day. Hopefully we can visit Stacy and Braedan again soon!

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

Deciding that Truth and Reconciliation were really not our issue, we went to PG to enjoy a long weekend with Jared’s family. Even Caleb came along! The men went to work tackling the winter wood supple while we ladies ran the home front. I did get to try the log splitter, but Luke, with his broken arm, was very busy with that job when he wasn’t driving the tractor. By the end of the day, the logs were beautifully stacked. Caleb had this responsibility and did a great job.

Little things

Campground map- very helpful  Dad and I snuck off for one walk together in the week. It was fun! And beautiful.  Family photo❤️ The whole group! It was wonderful to camp together.  Val doing paddleboard headstands. Impressive! The kayaks were well used.  The Nature House always had interesting things for Elise, plus some neat programs. Most of us went to one on bears.  Joshua is so loved! Uncle Luke absolutely loves being an uncle.
