Photo Shoot for the Chicken Industry





Dad is well known in the chicken farming community. He was asked if our family would be willing to get our photo taken for some advertising. Everyone was on board, but when the shoot was done, Micah and Caleb were gone. I think Stepping Stones Bible Camp is where they were, busy being counsellors. 

A film crew arrived, with four guys, plus an industry rep named Cheryl who brought a catered dinner. We had to pose as a group, walk as a group, pose as individuals, pairs, with the dogs… so many requests! But it was fun and we all had a great time. 

The biggest surprise was that we were actually put in a BC Chicken commercial on YouTube. We had thought maybe a chicken calendar was the plan, so this was much grander than we anticipated. We are practically famous now.

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

Deciding that Truth and Reconciliation were really not our issue, we went to PG to enjoy a long weekend with Jared’s family. Even Caleb came along! The men went to work tackling the winter wood supple while we ladies ran the home front. I did get to try the log splitter, but Luke, with his broken arm, was very busy with that job when he wasn’t driving the tractor. By the end of the day, the logs were beautifully stacked. Caleb had this responsibility and did a great job.

Little things

Campground map- very helpful  Dad and I snuck off for one walk together in the week. It was fun! And beautiful.  Family photo❤️ The whole group! It was wonderful to camp together.  Val doing paddleboard headstands. Impressive! The kayaks were well used.  The Nature House always had interesting things for Elise, plus some neat programs. Most of us went to one on bears.  Joshua is so loved! Uncle Luke absolutely loves being an uncle.
