Goodbye… and New Beginnings

This new blog is to help keep us in touch and to show what our lives here in Chilliwack look like. 

A few weeks ago, Nathan and Nelly-Jayne moved to Lethbridge. They were living in the upstairs suite. Four days ago, Micah made the final move to Lethbridge, after spending a weekend there with Luke hauling his stuff in our trailer. He was still living at home with us. And yesterday we made the trip to Kelowna to help Stacy and Braedan move. This leaves only Caleb, Luke and Elise at home with us. We will miss everyone! 

We will carry on with life and it’s busy times. Today was back to school shopping, haying, and haircut day. Luke was off to Mission with Dad, where they bought a sprayer to kill weeds in the field. We have been actively puppy seeking online, which brings a lot of excitement. 

Bonds can stay strong over distance, right?

Stacy and Braedan’s new home in Kelowna was neat to see. We hope to spend some weekends here. 
 Saying goodbye was really hard.

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

Deciding that Truth and Reconciliation were really not our issue, we went to PG to enjoy a long weekend with Jared’s family. Even Caleb came along! The men went to work tackling the winter wood supple while we ladies ran the home front. I did get to try the log splitter, but Luke, with his broken arm, was very busy with that job when he wasn’t driving the tractor. By the end of the day, the logs were beautifully stacked. Caleb had this responsibility and did a great job.

Little things

Campground map- very helpful  Dad and I snuck off for one walk together in the week. It was fun! And beautiful.  Family photo❤️ The whole group! It was wonderful to camp together.  Val doing paddleboard headstands. Impressive! The kayaks were well used.  The Nature House always had interesting things for Elise, plus some neat programs. Most of us went to one on bears.  Joshua is so loved! Uncle Luke absolutely loves being an uncle.
