Home Again

We had a special few days before NJ and Joshua flew home

Majestic Elegance

This might be our favourite holiday yet. We loved the beach and the resort was wonderful. We even had a butler!  This coffee shop became our daily morning excursion. It was simply amazing. We often went back in the afternoon for a health drink. No matter which health drink we ordered, we got the one they chose to pour. The same order could be red one day and green the next. They weren’t good- but they were healthy and we had fun with them.  Really?!? Dad just had to order something from here. Burgers and fries American fast food.  Another good part of this holiday was that Dad booked a night in the airport hotel so we had a day to switch gears before going home. We enjoyed the lounge and watching the planes.  We had a lazy day, even did some wedding ring shopping.  Then it was good to go home and see our loved ones again.

The Babysitters Arrive

Dad and I were going on a ten day vacation to the Dominican Republic. We flew Nelly-Jayne and Joshua here to take care of the kids. They were quite happy about that-and we hoped that having man responsibilities and a little nephew would help Luke adjust to having Caleb gone.

Fly Over Hawaii

Opa told us he would love to visit Hawaii one day. Well, I couldn’t make that happen, but we could and did take him and Oma to see the Fly Over Hawaii experience in Vancouver. We all loved it and had a wonderful day.

Farewell to Caleb

We knew it was coming, but it still hurt when it happened. Caleb had his last hockey game here.  Our church got pew Bibles and Psalm Books which needed stamping on them. Timothy, Caleb and Luke took care of that.  Caleb worked for Dad, building plywood walls in the pig barn for his last month here as Legacy had no more work for him.  Elise got a big hug and headed off to school.  We took Caleb to Meadowlands Golf Club for lunch on his last day. We had to stop at Legacy on our way to the airport so Caleb could say goodbye.  Caleb snagged a window for the pig barn.  This goodbye hurt. A lot. But we wished Caleb well and let him go.

Outdoor Club Goes to Camp Charis

Rock climbing,  archery and team building activities made for a pretty fantastic field trip for the Middle School Outdoor Club kids.

Goodbyes

Last but not least, Caleb and Jill drove away and Micah and Steph flew away.

Chipmunk Caves

Jared and family left, Nathan and family had a Neels day, so the rest of us needed a plan. We went to find the Chipmunk Caves, which was a very worthwhile trip. Stacy and Braedan headed back to Kelowna after the hike.

Girls at TapIns

Caleb had a stag party afternoon/dinner/evening. The guys, including ALL our boys and Braedan and Dad and many friends, went golfing and had a fire at our place. No photos.  We ladies needed to do something too, so we went to TapIns and did a paint night together. Super fun!
