A Day in Town

Image
We enjoyed a group outing, including lunch at the mall, a bit of shopping and a ride on an old fashioned trolley bus.

Off to Kokanee Creek and Elise’s Birthday

Image
Monday morning we said our goodbyes to Jared and the Feenstras. (Tonisha and Hazel left Saturday with her family)  and headed off to Kokanee Creek Provincial Park Group Campground. Of course we needed a lunch stop in Sparwood to see the big truck.  Our campsite had a huge inner circle perfect for games.  The public beach was amazing although the group site one was not. Our birthday girl turned 8!!! She requested muscles, shrimp, cooked carrots and mashed potatoes for her birthday meal, so that’s what we had. Her love tank was full as she was surrounded by so many loved ones. ❤️

Clean Up and a Special Tour

The hall, restored to its original state.  Don Feenstra’s brother owns this grain elevator. He uses it to sort seeds. He was willing to meet us there and give us a tour inside. Fascinating!  Our beautiful daughters love to pose together.  Time for a portrait of our oldest and youngest sons.

The Reception

Stacy and Caleb did a stellar job as MCs. Their Wheel of Fortune generated laughter, as did our skits on marriage advice and the deep things of life from the guys. The hall was gorgeously decorated by Arlene Feenstra. The food was delicious, many loved ones came to celebrate.

The prettiest guest book attendants made every guest smile, and these handsome ushers did a great job!

The Wedding Morning

August 4, 2023- a very special day in the lives of Micah and Stephanie and everyone who loves them. Opa and Oma arrived! They had been stranded in the Okanagon as the motorhome broke down. They let Val, Stacy and Braedan head to AB in Opa’s vehicle. We are so glad they all made it. There were many harried moments, but eventually everyone was looking his best for the camera. Mrs. Feenstra even did my hair after first doing all her daughters. I did my daughters. The guys were at Micah’s house and showed up looking fine.
